Our beautiful off-the-grid property in the foothills of the Western Sierra Nevada is a secluded retreat that offers a perfect blend of natural beauty, sustainability, and self-sufficiency.
Nestled in the rolling foothills, the property is surrounded by a landscape of oak woodlands and scenic meadows. The terrain is gently sloping with rocky outcrops, offering stunning panoramic views of the mountains and valleys.
The property is accessible via a well-maintained dirt road that winds through the meadows overlooking the San Joaquin River Gorge.
Camping
Our Airstream trailer offers a nostalgic yet modern escape into nature. These iconic silver bullet trailers, known for their sleek, aerodynamic design and vintage charm, provide a unique blend of comfort and adventure. Inside, you’ll find a cozy, well-appointed space with retro decor, blending mid-century aesthetics with contemporary amenities. The compact yet efficient layout typically includes a small kitchenette, a comfortable sleeping area, and a compact bathroom, ensuring you have all the essentials for a pleasant stay.
You may feel free to pitch a tent or bring your own van camper. Trailers are not advised due to the 1.5-mile rough dirt road. This is a quiet, contemplative retreat, a place to relax, stretch, hike, and have ritual. Camping is open to friends, family, extended family, and progressive social, cultural, LGBTQ+, and racial justice activists in need of a quiet and safe retreat in the Fall, Winter, and Spring. Fire danger is too great in the Summer to permit camping.
We absolutely decline to host MAGA folks and other right-wingers.
Rates vary from zero to $40.00/day depending on the size of your group, the nature of the retreat you propose and the experience you have in an off-grid setting being a steward of the land. We are a leave no trace retreat; if you bring it, take it away with you, please. No parties, no loud music, no heavy drinking. Other policies will be sent upon further inquiry.
