Since 1995, our journey together has flourished, culminating in a joyous legal marriage the moment it was recognized by law, and outlaw wedding on a pirate ship in San Francisco Bay a few years before. Side-by-side, we’ve shared life’s duties and dreams, championing a brighter future for all. This harmonious union and hard work gave birth to StarWater. Our hearts have room for both human friends and canine companions. We cherish the exchange of tales and adventures, while honoring the cherished autonomy of individuals communing with nature.

Brooke has dedicated her career to cultural justice law, advocating for artists, activists, nonprofits, and creative minds to safeguard their intellectual creations. With 26 years at the helm of a boutique law firm, she has since expanded her impact by aligning with a prestigious AmLaw 200 firm in the western region, continuing her commitment to legal excellence.
Elba Rivera
Elba’s artistic prowess as a muralist and painter shines through her acclaimed works, which have graced the pages of articles and even a book cover. Her vibrant murals can be seen on the streets of San Francisco’s Mission District and the Castro. Beyond her artistic endeavors, Elba’s precision and dedication were instrumental in managing the finances at Brooke’s law firm until her retirement. Known for her kindness, Elba possesses a heart of gold.
